At some time in the distance past, the Physics Dragon ate several girl students from Philology Department at Vilnius University.  So, for the past 41 years on Physics Day in early April, the Physics Dragon — along with students from the Physics Department — travels from the science campus on the outskirts of town to the main university campus to ask for forgiveness.  Fortunately, last Saturday afternoon I was downtown and ran into a Vilnius University student whom I know.  She told me about this event, so off I went to see the Physics Dragon for myself.  It turns out that this is just one part of a full day of celebrations for Physics Day.  I watched the arrival of the dragon, but didn’t stay for the rest of the festivities.
