One of my friends here in Vilnius is a fellow Pacific Northwestern (from Portland) and blogger who takes beautiful photographs.  Today I want to share with you some of her photos from Lithuania — I think you’ll really enjoy them.

Trakai Castle, medieval Lithuania’s capital, is located on a island in a lake 28 km from Vilnius.  I’ve only been there in the summer.  Now I know that I’ve missed out by not seeing it in the snow. You can also see photos from some of the topics and places I’ve written about, such as Uzupis Independence Day and the Kaziukas Fair.

Check out her photo gallery at flicker.com.  She has a whole set of photos of Lithuania.

My friend and her family also lived in Kyiv, Ukraine and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan so you may just want to explore her blog for amazing photos of interesting places.
